In a calculation, it’s been stated that there is about 1 trillion taka worth of wealth in Bangladesh, which is counted for Zakat. Its 2.5 % will be 25 billion taka. If at least 12 billion taka is taken as Zakat every year, it can be invested in 120 combined projects of poultry, fishery, agriculture, etc.

If it continues for 10 years, a total of about 1,200 development projects can be implemented in this time. This may remove all the poverty from our country. All Zakat recipients will become Zakat donors. It is very much possible to reach this target within the next 15 years only if the amount of Zakat is collected collectively.
